Working as a Sports content creator for Millions Co.
Hello Everyone, and welcome back to my Blog. If you are new here, my name is Crystal, and I'm a Student Sports Editor and content creator. Today, I will be discussing my short experience at Millions Co.
Millions Co. is a sports-focused digital platform that has live streaming and influencer marketing to connect athletes, creators, and fans. The purpose of this platform is to help athletes and sports content creators monetize their work while also building connections with fans. Millions has Live streaming and PPV events that hosts conduct interviews, podcasts, and watch parties. Fans can follow their favorite athlete and join communities, and interact during live streams. You can visit their website or download the app!
My short experience
When I was job searching on LinkedIn, I found a job ad for a Sports Content Creator at Millions Co. In the description, it mentioned becoming a creator, conducting interviews, interacting with fans, and earning money. It said that it will pay from $10.00-.35.00 per hour. In my mind, I thought that this job was meant for me, when in reality it wasn't. After a couple of days of submitting my application, I received an email that I've been hired for the job and that there were links that would show me how to set up my account, create my own schedule, so when I invite these athletes, they can pick out a date and time that suits them. I already had an interview schedule set, and when I mentioned this during my interview, I was told that it was great and that I could definitely post the interview on the website. But I won't get paid for it because the person I booked the interview with isn't part of the platform. When I sent out an invitation to these athletes, I didn't receive anything, and I just grew frustrated. Maybe it's that I just became very impatient, but I realized that when I started sending emails to other athletes who were not on the platform, I received quicker responses from those who were part of the sports world.
I sent an email to the manager expressing how I felt and decided to resign. All in all, I just put my faith in God and just see what life is going to take me, and I know that Millions Co. will be a great platform for somebody just at the moment just not for me, and that's okay.
This article is not to push anyone to not sign up and use that platform to build something because it could be for you, it could be something that you.
